Folio (461 x 284 mm). 4 pp. Illustrated with six double-page copper engraved cosmographic plates and 42 double-page copper engraved maps hand-outlined in old color, engravings in text. Text and plates mounted on guards. Modern quarter-calf over old boards. Some minor edge wear to title and contents leaves, old staining in upper gutters outside of plate marks, occasional faint offset but maps and plates clean overall.
FIRST EDITION. Most of the maps are dated 1774. The double-hemisphere world map and the world chart are dated 1781, while three of the five American maps are dated 1783.
